2024 ANNUAL REVIEW

Welcome to our first ever annual review - in this post I’ll be summarizing all the work we’ve accomplished here at SuperRare Labs in 2024 
I’ve started things off with a written summary broken up into 4 phases. Each phase represents a quarter of the time we’ve put in since April - the month we upgraded our process to include organized work logs. Once you’re done with the summary you can browse individual summaries for each of the Release Notes we put out last year.
IN SUMMARY:
Phase 1: Foundation & Communication (April - May)
Launched our first-ever public release notes, marking a new era of transparency. This period focused on essential infrastructure work, culminating in a reimagined homepage experience and the experimental launch of $RARE tipping.
Phase 2: Platform Evolution (June - August)
Summer brought significant UX transformations with a new Artwork Detail Page, improved authentication systems and enhanced Series features. The platform launched the new Create page (replacing the mint page) enabling independent 3rd party contract importing. This phase was about making the platform feel intuitive and interconnected.
Phase 3: Technical Renaissance (September - October)
A period of deep technical enhancement focused on backend performance and user experience. The introduction of $USDC and $RARE feature support expanded trading options, while major backend improvements delivered noticeable website performance gains. The marketplace indexer rebuild laid the groundwork for future scalability.
Phase 4: Innovation & Refinement (November - December)
Closed the year with powerful new features like Blind Releases and Series Offers, while completing the new indexing system implementation. This period marked the conclusion of our $RARE tipping experiment, allowing us to focus on core marketplace features.
